Mae L. Feaster Charter School - CTE Program
Mae L. Feaster Charter School (FCS), situated in a diverse community, is committed to providing essential academic, social, and career-building skills to its K-8 students. As a Title 1 school, FCS serves a diverse student body with a strong commitment to equity and inclusivity. With 60% of students being English language learners, the school’s Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) provides afterschool and summer programs focused on academic support, social-emotional learning, esports, and career technical education (CTE), helping students build the skills needed for future success.
FCS faced major challenges in acquiring high-performance products for demanding applications like CAD software for engineering and design. Additionally, they had to contend with lengthy approval processes from the San Diego County of Education and district IT directors.
