Some particular cumulative Windows Updates may take longer due to multiple language packs that are pre-installed in the system.

If the Windows Update process takes too long (e.g., over 5 hours) to install on the operating system with multiple language support, please follow the instructions below to remove the unused language package from the operating system before performing Windows Update.

 

1. Type [Win] + [R] and key in  "lpksetup" to launch "Install or uninstall display languages".

2. Select the languages that are not used and select "Next" to proceed with the uninstallation process.

Note: It will take about 10 minutes to remove 5 languages.
