Follow the steps below:




  1. Close HWiNFO, HWMonitor, GamePP, or any other hardware monitoring software.

  2. Restart the computer.

  3. Do not launch any third-party monitoring tools temporarily.

  4. Use the computer normally for a period of time.

  5. Open Event Viewer again and check whether the same EC error continues to appear.



If the event no longer appears after the monitoring tool is closed or removed, it usually indicates that the event was triggered when the software attempted to read EC sensor data.



How to disable EC Monitoring in HWiNFO?



If you are using HWiNFO, try disabling EC Support to prevent the software from continuously accessing EC sensor data.




  1. Open HWiNFO.

  2. Go to Settings.


  3. Select Safety.

  4. Clear the EC Support checkbox.

  5. Click OK to save the settings.
