[Desktop] Computer Crashes, Blue Screens, and Screen Freezes During Standby

There are many reasons for computer crashes, including software or hardware malfunctions that may cause crashes and instability. This article provides troubleshooting directions and possible solutions. Please refer to the following content.

Confirm hardware, system settings, and cooling

  • Check the computer cables (e.g., power cord, data cable) for looseness or damage.
  • Use hardware monitoring software (e.g., MSI Center, HWiNFO) to ensure that the computer's operating temperature is within the normal range.
  • If the crash occurs after hardware changes, system or BIOS settings, it is recommended to restore the computer to its previous state and reconfirm.
  • Check overclocking settings; after overclocking (CPU, GPU, or memory), temperature rise or instability may occur, so ensure that overclocking settings are within reasonable limits.

Note: MSI desktop products have undergone factory tuning, so it is recommended to use them directly.

Update BIOS, drivers, and run Windows Update

Updates typically fix known issues and enhance system stability, so it's recommended to ensure your computer is up-to-date regularly.
