The MSI USB-C Docking Station Gen 2 offers three exclusive features:
- One-Click Start
- PXE Remote Wake-Up (WoL)
- Media Access Control Address (MAC Address) Pass-through
Follow the instructions below to utilize these features with compatible MSI laptops:
One-Click Start
Simply press and hold the power button on the MSI USB-C Docking Station Gen 2 to wake up the laptop system, enter modern standby, or shut down while the laptop system is operational.
System Requirements:
1. MSI laptops must be equipped with Intel 11th generation processors or newer platforms, and the BIOS version must be the latest version available on the MSI Official Website.
2. MSI laptops equipped with a USB-C port support PD power delivery. For more details, refer to the [Product Information] USB Type-C Port.
PXE Remote Wake-Up (WoL)
This feature allows laptops to be remotely awakened from sleep or shutdown when connected to the power.
Note: Some laptops that support modern standby may not support PXE Remote Wake-Up.
System Requirements:
1. MSI laptops must be equipped with Intel 11th generation processors or newer platforms, and the BIOS version must be the latest version available on the MSI Official Website.
2. To enable this feature, manually install the latest version of the Realtek USB LAN driver from the Realtek Official Website on your laptop.
Media Access Control Address (MAC Address) Pass-Through
This function utilizes the system's unique MAC address stored in the BIOS (Basic Input/ Output System). The MAC address is overwritten each time the docking station connects to the network, meeting business and IT management needs.
